All about Kate

My life is complete. Before setting off for my trip de world next week, I can finally tick 'get a photo and schmooze with Kate before 30' off my list.
Among the sea of 'Baby Boomers',Matt and I sat quietly and found that we were one of about 6 groups of people who actually went there especially to see her, however I think all the BB's came away with a new fave (how could you not).

Job huntin'

What to do when you go overseas? I have applied for about 20 jobs in the UK. Maybe I need to think about what I want to do. Story of my life!
Originally I thought that doing a webby office job would be good $, Monday to Friday 9 - 5 style and therefore I could have the weekend to scoot off and travel. But the more and more that I sit at my desk at work before I head off, the more I think I would like to go with utilising my people skill and passion for travelling as a career move. Its not like I am going to get the opportunity once I leave the UK at this point in my life.
I have applied for a couple of jobs with Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Trains, First Choice Airlines and various cruiseship positions - free travel and being paid for it being the motivation.
As a side step utilising my current skills some of the possies have included Marketing Coordinator, account exec in the fashion industry, office manager for a resort. Who knows where I will end up. Only fate and time will tell. You cant prepare for everything when travelling.

The U S of A

So I got in this morning, to find a newsletter from one of my fave USA giant retail fixes. (http://www.oldnavy.com/browse/category.do?d=5372&tid=1070&ev=WM11082005&di=26299541&cd=&pageID=-1)
(OMG love that jacket)
This only makes me think more and more about Destination:USA. I love the place, and Rez and I have added it into the equation 'Tour de World', however we havent mentioned it a great deal - mainly on my part because of the working restrictions.
Last night, 8/11/05 went out for a family dinner. . It was Grandads 85th, so of course we were off to the pub, the Belair Hotel to be exact. There I discussed with my beloved US relatives the ins and outs of extending your visa from the 3 months maximum. I confirmed that getting over the border either north or south of the United States, even for just one day, entitles you to start that 3 months all over again!! I mean not that I am trying to rought the system, but the option is there if we decided that the UK stank/was too cold/too expensive etc :)
AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!
So many options - now I am even more excited!...............................
